Jorge Leiva-Rojo is a Senior lecturer at the Department of Translation and Interpreting at Málaga University and holds a PhD in Translation and Interpreting from Málaga University (School of Arts’ Best PhD Award, 2005). He has also been a teaching assistant at Dickinson College (Carlisle, Pennsylvania), 2002-2003; a visiting scholar at Harvard University (Cambridge, Massachusetts), 2008-2009; and an adjunct faculty member at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (Monterey, California), 2012. His research fields include specialized translation, translation review and editing, corpus linguistics, and translation of phraseology and museum texts. He has been a professional translator since 2002. He has published several papers on corpus-based studies and translation of museum texts in a number of volumes (published in Comares, Tirant Lo Blanch, Cátedra and Peter Lang) and journals (Cogent Arts & Humanities, Revista de Lingüística y Lenguas Aplicadas, Círculo de Lingüística Aplicada a la Comunicación and Onomázein).
