Beatriz Rubio Martínez holds a BA in English and a BA in Comparative Literary Studies from the Universidad Complutense (Madrid), also a MA from the Universidad de Alcalá, where she is now completing her PhD thesis on the novels of Deirdre Madden. She has worked as a lecturer at the UNIR-Universidad Internacional de la Rioja since 2010 as part of the English Department, in the Faculties of Education and Humanities, teaching for both undergraduate and master degrees. She has also been teaching at the National University of Ireland, Galway, since September 2014. Her research interests include Irish literature, interculturality, trauma studies and teaching languages through literature.
