Bertrand Cardin

Bertrand Cardin is a lecturer in the University of Caen Basse-Normandie, France. He wrote a book on father-son relationships in eight contemporary Irish novels, Miroirs de la filiation. Parcours dans huit romans irlandais contemporains (Presses Universitaires de Caen, 2005). He co-edited a book on the literary representations of the Irish Famine entitled Irlande: Ecritures and réécritures de la Famine (Presses Universitaires de Caen, 2006). He wrote a Ph.D on John McGahern’s short-stories and published several articles about contemporary Irish writers (Edna O’Brien, Jennifer Johnston, Joseph O’Connor…) in international books or reviews.
