Bill Phillips is Senior Lecturer in the English Literature Section of the Department of English and German, University of Barcelona. His research interests focus on poetry and other literature of the Romantic period, ecocriticism and ecofeminism, gender studies, detective fiction and science fiction. He has published widely in these areas, including “The Postmodern Detective Novel” in Redefining Modernism and Postmodernism edited by Şebnem Toplu and Hubert Zapf (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2010) and “The Edge Effect: Ecotones and Borders” in Literatures in English: Ethnic, Colonial and Cultural Encounters Vol 22, edited by Jacqueline Hurtley, Michael Kenneally and Wolfgang Zach (Stauffenburg Verlag, 2011). He leads a research group on postcolonial crime fiction.
