Carmen María Fernández-Rodríguez holds a PhD in English Philology (University of A Coruña). Her dissertation thesis analysed Maria Edgeworth’s and Frances Burney’s narrative works. At present she is a teacher at the English Department of the Official School of Languages in Santiago de Compostela (Spain). She has published several articles in the field of translation and cultural studies and is currently working on Maria Edgeworth’s reception and translation on the Continent and on the oeuvre of Sarah Harriet Burney, Frances Burney’s half-sister.
