Cassandra O’Loughlin completed a PhD in the Discipline of English at the University of Newcastle, Australia, where she is currently a Conjoint Fellow in the School of Humanities and Social Science. The focus of her doctoral thesis is Ecocritical Theory and Ecopoetics. Her work appears in various anthologies, and in journals such as The Australasian Journal of Ecocriticism and Cultural Ecology, Antipodes (USA), Plumwood MountainSoutherlyMeanjinOverlandMascara Literary Review and Earthlines (UK). A volume of her ecopoetry, Taking My Breath: Ecopoems, was published by Ginninderra Press in February 2018.
