John Liddy was born in Limerick but lives in Madrid since 1982, where he works as a librarian and teacher at the British Council. He has published three books of poetry: Boundaries (1974); The Angling Cot (1991) and Song of the Empty Cage (1997). He is one of the founders of the journal The Stony Thursday Book.
