Julio Ángel Olivares Merino (BA, Jaén 1992; PhD. Jaén 1999) teaches English Literature at the University of Jaén (Spain). His research focuses on Gothic Fiction and Film, as well as on Semiotics and Narratology, more specifically centred on the Vampire Myth, Japanese Horror, Edgar Allan Poe and the “Ghost Story”. He is a fiction writer and also Managing Director at UniRadio Jaén.
