Meg Tyler is Assistant Professor of Humanities at Boston University. Her book, A Singing Contest: Conventions of Sound in the Poetry of Seamus Heaney, was published by Routledge in August 2005 in their series ‘Studies in Major Literary Authors.’ She recently won a BU Humanities Foundation fellowship to complete her current book project, entitled Broken Sonnets, a study of sonnets by contemporary American, British and Irish poets.
