Mehdi Ghassemi is currently Adjunct Lecturer on English at the University of Lille where he previously completed a PhD in English Literature in “co-tutelle” with KU Leuven. His research revolves around the relation between subjectivity and style in the works of John Banville and Jacques Lacan, with additional interests in Henry James and Friedrich Nietzsche. He has publications on Banville’s novels with Etudes Irlandaises, Re-Imagining Ireland, Mosaiques, and Irish Journal of Gothic and Horror Studies.
