Miguel Ramalhete Gomes is an FCT post-doctoral research fellow working on the theme of Shakespeare and presentism. He teaches at the Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico do Porto (ESE-IPP), Portugal. He has presented papers at several international conferences on the topics of early modern drama, especially Shakespeare, 20th-century German drama, Irish studies, and Utopian studies. He has recently published Texts Waiting for History: William Shakespeare Re-Imagined by Heiner Müller (Brill | Rodopi, 2014).
