Paul O’Hanrahan has specialised in adapting and performing the works of Joyce, winning Edinburgh Festival Fringe First awards for productions from Ulysses and Finnegans Wake

He founded Balloonatics Theatre Company in 1984 to present literary theatre on the European university circuit and for the last twenty years on Bloomsday, June 16th, the company has presented site-specific re-enactments of Ulysses in Dublin.  A student of Cambridge and York universities, he has given a number of papers and written articles on Joyce. For Beckett’s 2006 Centenary, he produced theatrical tours and performances of the early prose in both Dublin and London.
