Erika Mihálycsa obtained her PhD from Babes-Bolyai University Cluj, Romania where she currently teaches 20th century British fiction and drama; her thesis explored the linguistic poetics of the fiction of Joyce, Flann O’Brien and Beckett. She has published a number of articles on Beckett and Joyce studies, especially Joyce in translation (including in Joyce Studies Annual, Scientia Traductionis); besides reading at a number of Joyce symposia and summer schools, she co-organized with Fritz Senn an international workshop dedicated to re-translations of Ulysses at the Zurich James Joyce Foundation, in May 2010. She has published several articles on Flann O’Brien, both in English and Hungarian. She translates modern and contemporary English/Anglo-Irish fiction and poetry into Hungarian.
