Erika Mihálycsa is Associate Professor at Babeș-Bolyai University where she teaches 20th-century and contemporary British and Irish literature. She has mainly published in the field of Joyce and Beckett studies; with Jolanta Wawrzycka she co-edited Retranslating Joyce for the 21st Century (European Joyce Studies, Brill 2020) and, with Petronia Petrar and Carmen Borbély, Temporalities of Modernism (Ledizioni, 2022), and published “A wretchedness to defend”: Reading Beckett’s Letters (2022). She edited Rareș Moldovan’s new Romanian translation of Ulysses (2023) and translated into Hungarian At Swim-Two-Birds and fiction by Beckett and Patrick McCabe among others. Currently she is co-editing a volume on Flann O’Brien with Anne Fogarty and Scott Hamilton.;
