Héloïse Lecomte is a PhD candidate at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, in France. She is also a member of the joint research unit Institut d’Histoire des Représentations et des Idées dans les Modernités (IHRIM). She has delivered papers in both national and international conferences she has been part of several organising committees in national and international seminars and conferences. Her research focuses on the poetics of mourning in contemporary British and Irish fiction, drawing mainly on works by Anne Enright, John Banville, Ian McEwan, Graham Swift and Ali Smith.
