Jesús Candelario-Menacho is a current PhD student at the University of Extremadura, Spain, where he works as a predoctoral fellow thanks to the contract provided by the Plan Propio de Investigación y Transferencia UEx 2024 Acción II. He holds a Degree in English Studies, a Master’s Degree in Humanities Research and another Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching. He is member of LINGLAP (Instituto Universitario de Investigación de Lingüística y Lenguas Aplicadas) and of the Center of Irish Studies in Cáceres. His main fields of research include corpus linguistics and historical sociolinguistics related to Irish, Spanish, and Portuguese private correspondence.
