María José Carrillo-Linares is Senior Lecturer at the University of Huelva (Spain). She graduated from the University of Seville in 1991 where she also got her doctorate in 1997. Since 1995 she has been teaching and researching at the University of Huelva. Her main research interests have been Middle English scientific manuscripts and English historical dialectology. Her research on Middle English dialectology has principally focused on the geography of the lexicon on which she has produced a number of publications and presented conference papers. These have dealt with both the practical results of the research and the methodological issues underpinning it.
