Maude Weiss is an Irish-American born in New York City, raised in New Jersey and now residing in Ireland, her mother’s home country. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights and English literature at Columbia University in 2021 with a senior thesis titled Memory and Truth: A Poetic Response to Northern Ireland’s Troubles. She holds an MA in Irish Writing at Trinity College Dublin. Her MA thesis, Transcending Boundaries and Imagining Others: How Evelyn Conlon’s Storytelling Promotes a Culture of Human Rights, was supervised by Dr Paul Delaney. She is currently attending Maynooth University in pursuit of a Master’s degree in Community and Youth Work.
