Nina White is completing a Ph.D. studentship at Teesside University on the topic “The rhizome and the museum: a post-qualitative inquiry into the nature of museums activism at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art”. Prior to this, she completed an MA in Irish Studies at University of Liverpool with a focus on 20th-century theatre and visual art. Nina was awarded the prize for Best MA Dissertation 2018 from Liverpool’s Institute of Irish Studies for her thesis on cultural reaction to civil war. Nina was also the winner of the British Association of Irish Studies Postgraduate Essay Prize for “‘It was like lighting’: The Theatrical Resonances of Sarah Kane in Eimear McBride’s A Girl Is A Half-Formed Thing”, published in the Irish Studies Review in Autumn 2018.
